As mining became industrialized, the demands on materials and machinery grew: more trips, heavier loads, and greater capacities had to be handled safely.

In 1925, the family-owned Becker company developed a significant product from scrap materials in the leather industry: the leather pulley lining.

In the early 1960s, the company expanded its involvement in conveyor belt services. Linings made of rubber and plastic (BEKU 3) gradually replaced the leather linings.

To this day, there are no alternatives to these materials. Werner Becker is the third generation to run the business and has been managing director of Becker Treib- und Seilscheibenfutter GmbH since 2009. He consistently meets the demands placed on the product and is sought after worldwide as an expert in the mining industry.
