The SME annual meeting 2012 will take place from 19-22 February 2012 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, USA.

SIEMAG TECBERG will participate with a booth at Mining Indaba 2012 which takes place from 6 to 9 February 2012 in the Cape Town International Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.

On 30 November 2011 SIEMAG TECBERG concluded an agreement for the modernization of the mine shaft hoisting system. The ower PG Silesia - Czech Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding - is a leading strategy investor in the energy sector as well as in mining and industry sectors. As of 2012, Silesia will start to produce high-quality coal, mainly for the energy sector and its specific forms for retail sale. Silesia also sells coal mine gas (methane), stone for building purposes, and will provide solutions for clean energy storage of minerals.

The companies AlpTransit Gotthard AG (owner of the Gotthard Base Tunnel) and SIEMAG TECBERG GmbH have now signed a contract for work and services for the hoisting equipment to be installed in the two 800-metre-deep shafts in Sedrun, Switzerland. The installation of the hoisting equipment, which will be used for the completion of inspection and maintenance work, will begin in August 2013.
